(A) The City/County Corrections Facility currently under lease and administratively operated by the city Department of Corrections will not be closed without direction from the City Council at a public hearing wherein discussions regarding a cost-benefit analysis and long-term suitability shall be undertaken and considered.
(B) It is the intention of the city to maintain this facility as a backup for overcrowding of inmate population and consider its renovation.
