§ 3-3-8 SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
   (A)   For the purposes of this policy, SEXUAL HARASSMENT is defined as “any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.”
   (B)   The policy of the city is to not tolerate discrimination, restraint, coercion, or reprisals on the part of any city supervisor or employee that result from sexual harassment.
   (C)   The Chief Administrative Officer and subsequently each department director shall provide worksites free of sexual harassment.
   (D)   Allegations of sexual harassment shall be promptly investigated and corrective or disciplinary action shall promptly be taken as warranted.
   (E)   A city official shall neither induce, entice, solicit nor coerce a city employee to withdraw, drop or amend charges of sexual harassment in exchange for promotions, salary increases or other job-related benefits.
   (F)   It shall be the policy of the city that in all instances, when sexual harassment is brought to the attention of the Mayor, the Chief Administrative Officer and his assistants, department directors or supervisors, said individuals shall immediately report the notice and information of alleged sexual harassment to the Affirmative Action Officer. The Affirmative Action Officer shall monitor departments where instances of sexual harassment has been alleged to ensure that appropriate action has been taken.
   (G)   The details of all complaints alleging sexual harassment shall be kept confidential.
   (H)   The investigation and disposition of sexual harassment cases as referred by the Mayor, Chief Administrative Officer and assistants, department directors and supervisors to the Human Rights Department shall conform and comply with all the requirements and procedures as dictated by the Albuquerque Affirmative Action Ordinance as amended.
   (I)   The Administration shall develop standard procedures for handling sexual harassment cases which shall incorporate the policies stated in this section.
