§ 2-1-18 SEXUAL ASSUALT TASK FORCE.
   (A)   The Administration hereby creates a task force to develop and support an effective, consistent and collaborative approach to the response and reduction of adult and child sexual assault in the City of Albuquerque.
   (B)   The Mayor shall appoint, with advice and consent of the Council, a 16 member task force including representatives from local sexual assault intervention and prevention agencies, criminal justice professionals, advocacy groups and citizens.
   (C)   The City Council shall appoint one council staff member to serve on the sexual assault task force.
   (D)   The task force shall develop a strategic plan to address and formulate:
      (1)   Recommendations on how to reduce incidents of sexual assault;
      (2)   Recommendations on how to coordinate existing resources; including specific proposals on how these entities may better cooperate;
      (3)   Recommendations for changes in policies and laws to reduce incidents of sexual assault;
      (4)   Recommendations on the need for increased services and resources to reduce incidents of sexual assault; and
      (5)   Other items deemed appropriate by the task force.
   (E)   The task force shall be appointed within one month after this resolution is in effect.
   (F)   The task force shall report its findings to the City Council within six months after this resolution is in effect.
