(A) The Solid Waste Management Department shall accept or shall contract with an appropriate entity to accept all computer hardware for recycling. The Solid Waste Management Department shall also coordinate with the Family and Community Services Department to contract with available educational and community programs engaged in computer hardware recycling. The Solid Waste Management Department shall coordinate with the Environmental Health Department to insure that it receives the necessary technical support.
(B) The Director of the Solid Waste Management Department shall promulgate regulations to implement this program. The Department may charge a reasonable and sufficient fee to recycle computer hardware.
(C) The Director of the Solid Waste Management Department shall provide information to the public to encourage the recycling of computer hardware.
(D) For the purposes of the Computer Recycling Ordinance, "computer hardware" means computer monitors, computer hard drives, speakers and printers.
