No person having the storage, care, safe keeping, custody or possession of any vehicle shall, without the consent and contrary to the interest of the bailor, take, hire, drive or use the vehicle to take or remove any part of either the vehicle or the property within the vehicle. This section shall not be construed to exclude any bailee from the provisions of § 8-6-22.
