No person shall turn a vehicle at an intersection, into an alley, a driveway, or a private road, or onto land, or otherwise turn a vehicle from a direct course, or move right or left upon a roadway, or change from one lane to another unless or until such movement can be made in reasonable safety. No person shall change lanes or so turn a vehicle without giving an appropriate signal in at least 100 feet in advance.
