No person shall operate a motor vehicle while wearing dark or colored lenses in his eyeglasses, whether prescription or nonprescription, in the nighttime. Dark or colored lenses shall include those lenses which, when held above a white surface either in daylight or in a well-lighted area, contrast discernibly in color with the white surface below but which shall not include those glasses with special lenses which change from clear to dark upon exposure to light.
