§ 8-1-2-24 PARKING OR STANDING OF GOVERNMENT VEHICLES IN THE BROADWAY/CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.
   The Mayor, or his designated representative, upon the basis of engineering and traffic investigation, may, in addition to authority otherwise granted in this Traffic Code, restrict or prohibit parking or standing in the Broadway/Central Business District of official vehicles of the United States Government, the State of New Mexico, and any political subdivisions thereof, in areas where parking or standing is normally allowed, by placing appropriate markings, signs, or parking meters giving notice thereof. No such restriction or prohibition shall be effective unless said markings, signs or meters are erected and/or are in place at the time of any alleged offense.
