All traffic control signs, signals, barricades and devices shall conform to the specifications, design, use and visibility requirements of the manual of Uniform System of Traffic Control Devices approved by the State Department of Transportation. All signs and signals required hereunder for a particular purpose shall be uniform as to type and location. All traffic control devices so erected and not inconsistent with the provisions of state law or this Traffic Code shall be official traffic control devices. This section also applies to traffic control devices used to indicate road work sites.
