§ 7-7-18 NOTIFICATION OF POLICE AND OWNER.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of any wrecker performing services under the terms of this article to deliver to the Auto Theft Unit of the Police Department, within 72 hours after the removal of all vehicles, a completed tow log form, which format has been approved by APD. Such form must be typed and shall include a complete and accurate license plate number, a complete and accurate vehicle identification number, and storage location of such vehicle.
   (B)   The wrecker shall further notify the owner of such vehicle in accordance with the rules, regulations and tariffs of the Public Regulation Commission, and shall provide the owner with notice consistent with the Motor Vehicle Department regulations, prior to attachment and execution of any lien. Failure to so notify either the Police Department or owner as outlined above shall be grounds for removal from the rotation list as provided herein.
