§ 7-7-12 INSURANCE.
   (A)   No wrecker shall be placed on a rotation list until he shall have deposited with the Mayor the following:
      (1)   Motor Vehicle Liability:
         (a)   Each vehicle must have a minimum of Bodily Injury (BI) limits of $1,000,000 and Property Damage (PD) limits of $500,000; or
         (b)   A combined single limit of $1,000,000.
      (2)   Garage Keepers Legal Liability: minimum of $250,000 for classes A & B, and $500,000 for class D.
      (3)   Garage Liability: minimum of $500,000.
      (4)   Motor Truck Cargo: Class D must have a minimum of $500,000.
   (B)   A certificate of insurance is to be filed with the City of Albuquerque and each policy is to have the City of Albuquerque listed as an additional insured.
   (C)   Workers' Compensation. Since this ordinance requires participating wreckers to have three tow trucks and three drivers, each wrecker on the rotation list is therefore required to have workers' compensation insurance under the applicable state statute § 52-1-6 NMSA 1978, as amended. Proof of said insurance must be filed with the City and attached to the application.
   (D)   Each policy required herein shall name the city as additional insured and shall contain an endorsement providing for 30-days written notice to the city by the insurer in the event of any material change or cancellation. Said written notice must be sent to the City of Albuquerque Risk Management Division, P.O. Box 470, Albuquerque, NM 87103, by certified mail, return receipt. No policy shall meet the requirements of this section if it includes a provision disclaiming liability for failure to give such notice. One copy of each certificate of insurance for each policy shall be mailed to the City of Albuquerque, Risk Management Division, P.O. Box 470, Albuquerque, NM 87103 by certified mail, return receipt. A second copy, including all endorsements, shall accompany any application submitted under the terms of this article. Wreckers must state on the application who their agent is and provide the agent's contact telephone number and address.
