   (D)   Unstable pavement must be removed.
   (E)   Pavement edges must be trimmed to a vertical face and aligned with the center line of the roadway. All cuts shall be parallel or perpendicular to the street, unless other methods are approved in writing, in advance, by the Mayor.
   (F)   The applicant is not required to repair damage existing prior to excavation.
   (G)   The applicant is required to repair damage caused by the applicant outside of the work area.
   (H)   All excavations shall be accomplished in accordance with standard specifications and details approved by the Mayor.
   (I)   Unless otherwise approved by the Mayor, the maximum length of pavement removal permissible at any time must not exceed three blocks. One of such blocks must at that time be ready for paving. One of such blocks must be in the process of being backfilled. No pavement may be scored or otherwise marked for removal in excess of the three-block limit provided hereinabove.
