The Chief of Corrections/Detention may maintain a negative balance on an inmate’s account against which future collections may be made for medical and mental health care service co-payments. Deposits to the inmate’s account made subsequent to assessing a medical and mental health care service co-payment may be applied toward the balance owed until the total amount owed is paid.
