7-4-13: METER ACCURACY:
The superintendent of waterworks shall have power to adjust all erroneous bills and correct any errors occurring in meter readings, or in rendering of statements. In case of any dispute about the accuracy of any meter, the superintendent shall check out such meter and test the same. If the meter is found to be inaccurate, it shall be adjusted without charge to the consumer, but if found to be accurate, a charge, as set by resolution pursuant to section 1-5-3 of this code, shall be made to the consumer for testing the meter. The superintendent shall report all such corrections and adjustments to the city council monthly, or more often if required. (Ord. 39, 12-15-1914; amd. Ord. 375, 5-11-1995)
