Precious Metal and Gem Dealers
834.01   Requirements for dealers.
834.02   Violation.
 
834.99   Penalty.
834.01 REQUIREMENTS FOR DEALERS.
   Any person, corporation, partnership or association which engages in whole or in part in the ordinary course of repeated and recurrent transactions of buying or receiving precious items as defined in MCLA 445.482 et seq. from the public within the City shall:
   (a)   Register with the City Police Department.
   (b)   Provide to the Police Department any and all required information, including but not limited to:
      (1)   New employees must be properly registered with the City Police Department within twenty-four hours after they are hired.
      (2)   Comply with each and every requirement contained in MCLA 445.481 et seq. (the Precious Metal and Gem Dealer Act, Act 95 of 1981) as it may be from time to time amended.
      (3)   The dealer as defined in MCLA 445.481 et seq. shall provide to the Police Department any and all information regarding records transactions that are mandated by MCLA 445.481 et seq.
      (4)   Any dealer licensed hereunder is required to maintain records as is mandated by MCLA 445.481 et seq.

834.02 VIOLATION.
   Any person, corporation, partnership or association who fails to register or provide the required records or violates the conditions set forth in this chapter shall be in violation of this chapter.

834.99 PENALTY.
   Any person, corporation, partnership or association who violates any portion of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 202.99.
