   907.06 DUTY OF OWNER TO CONSTRUCT OR REPAIR.
   All sidewalks, curbs and driveways within any public way shall be kept and repaired by the owner of the property abutting thereon. The owner of the property abutting a curb, driveway or sidewalk shall construct, repair and relay, as necessary, all curbs, driveways or sidewalks as required by ordinance in accordance with the provisions of Ohio Revised Code Chapter 729 and Chapter 903 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Warren.
   Upon notification by certified mail by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building to repair a damaged curb, driveway or sidewalk, the property owner affected shall have forty-five days to effect such repairs or be subject to the penalty as provided for within Section 907.99 .

   907.07 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; SUPERVISION.
   All curbs, driveways and sidewalks shall be constructed, relayed, repaired or cut in conformity to plans and specifications prepared by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building. The office of Director of Engineering, Planning and Building shall set grades for such work which shall be conducted under supervision of the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building.

   907.08 WIDTH OF SIDEWALKS.
   Except as otherwise provided by law or otherwise, all new sidewalks shall be built and maintained five feet in width. Where sidewalks are to be replaced by new sidewalk, they shall conform in width to the existing sidewalks in front of such lot, or to the width of the greater percentage of existing sidewalks on the same side of the street within that block.

   907.09 NEW CONSTRUCTION; SIDEWALKS REQUIRED.
   All new construction of residences, multiple-family dwellings and commercial buildings shall be accompanied by the construction of sidewalks on the lot or lots occupied by such buildings, in accordance with the specifications for sidewalks herein contained. No building permit for the construction of such buildings shall be issued until the plans therefor contain provisions for the construction of the sidewalks. Areas annexed between October 8, 1963 and July 6, 1965, are exempt from this requirement.

   907.10 SIDEWALK SPECIFICATIONS.
   All new or reconstructed sidewalks shall be constructed of four (4) inch thick class “C” concrete on a six (6) inch compacted slag base, except through driveways where sidewalks shall be constructed of six (6) inch thick class “C” concrete on a four (4) inch compacted slag. All slag used shall be approved first by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building. The use of reinforcing rods or wire mesh is prohibited. All other specifications on file, or prepared by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building, shall apply.

   907.11 DRIVEWAY SPECIFICATIONS.
   All new or reconstructed driveways shall be constructed of either six (6) inch thick class “C” concrete on a four (4) inch compacted slag base or a minimum of an inch and a half (1 ½") of asphalt on a six (6) inch compacted slag base. All slag used shall be approved first by the office of the Director of Engineer, Planning and Building. The use of reinforcing rods or wire mesh is prohibited. All other specifications on file, or prepared by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building, shall apply.
   The opening at the curb or edge of pavement for residential driveways shall be no more than twenty-five (25) feet wide and for commercial or industrial driveways no more than thirty-five (35) feet wide.
   If drainage pipe is used under the driveway to accommodate the street drainage ditch, it shall be the same diameter as the nearest downstream ditch pipe, but in no case less than ten (10) inches in diameter. The ditch pipe used shall be in accordance with Section 923.13 of the Codified Ordinances of the City, or as approved by the Ohio Director of Transportation.

   907.12 CURB SPECIFICATIONS.
   Any and all work on curbs shall be in accordance to the specifications on file, or as prepared by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building.
   The connection of sump pump drain(s) or other type of mechanical drain(s) of any kind to the curb or street surface is prohibited. Sump pumps or other type of mechanical drains may be connected to any public street ditch, drainage ditch or storm sewer.
