907.01 REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO CONSTRUCT OR REPAIR SIDEWALKS; EXCEPTION.

   No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the work or business of constructing, relaying, repairing or cutting any curb, driveway or sidewalk on any public way within the City until such person, firm or corporation shall have been issued a Street Contractor registration, in accordance with Chapter 1305 (“Registration of Contractors”) of the Codified Ordinances of the City, by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building.

   This section does not apply, and shall not apply, to property owners who are judged capable of performing such work themselves by the office of the Director of Engineering, Planning and Building.

907.02 REGISTRATION APPLICATION.

   The registration provided for in the preceding section shall be issued only after an application furnished in accordance with Chapter 1305 of the Codified Ordinances of the City.

907.03 REGISTRATION AND PERMIT EXCEPTIONS.

   Contractors having a paving or sewer contract with the City from which there is curb, driveway or sidewalk to be built do not need to be registered per this chapter, nor will a permit be required per this chapter.
