ADDITIONAL STANDARDS FOR FREESTANDING GROUND SIGNS

15.16.010: APPLICATION OF REGULATIONS:
The following regulations are established for freestanding ground signs in addition to the other regulations contained in this title. (Ord. 1147, 2015)
15.16.020: STANDARDS:
A.   A freestanding ground sign shall be securely built, as follows:
   1.   When erected as a ground sign, said sign shall be secured to a concrete footing which has been poured to a depth below the frost line.
   2.   Base of such sign shall be at least fifty percent (50%) of the dimension of the width of the sign structure.
B.   A pole mounted sign shall be securely built as follows:
   1.   Shall be sunk at least three feet (3') below the natural surface of the ground and placed in concrete. (Ord. 1147, 2015)
15.16.030: WIND RESISTANCE:
All freestanding ground signs shall be constructed to withstand a wind pressure of not less than forty (40) pounds per square foot. (Ord. 1147, 2015)
