§ 34.053 EXECUTE WARRANTS.
   Every member of the Department shall have power, within the corporate limits of the city, to serve and execute warrants or other legal process for the apprehension and commitment of persons charged with or held, for the commission of any crime or misdemeanor, or the violation of any law or ordinance of the city; and while so serving or executing or assisting in the service of execution of any such warrant or legal process, he or she shall be vested with all the common law and statutory powers of police officers for such purposes.
