Each and every member of the police force, when on duty, shall devote his or her entire time to the proper discharge of the duty of his or her station, according to law and the ordinances of the city, and the rules and regulations of the Police Department; and it shall be his or her duty to preserve at all times, the order, peace and quiet of the city and to enforce the ordinances thereof.
