442.06 HORN OR OTHER SIGNAL DEVICE.
   Each motor vehicle operated in the City shall be equipped with a good and sufficient horn in good working order or other efficient signal device. All horns on motor vehicles shall be capable of emitting sound audible, under normal conditions, from a distance of not less than 200 feet. No operator of any motor vehicle shall use his horn otherwise than as a reasonable warning, nor shall any person use any horn or warning device upon a vehicle to make any unnecessary or unreasonably loud or harsh sound.
   Every Police and Fire Division and fire patrol vehicle and every ambulance or other authorized emergency vehicle used for emergency calls shall be equipped with a bell, siren or exhaust whistle of a type approved by the Mayor and Council. No other vehicle in the City shall be equipped with nor shall any person use on any other vehicle any such bell, siren or whistle.
