No person shall park a vehicle upon any highway for the principal purpose of:
(a) Displaying such vehicle for sale. A vehicle shall not be considered to be displayed for sale when it is parked upon any highway if the vehicle contains a for sale sign not greater than eight and one-half inches (8½") by eleven inches (11") and the sign is placed on a side window, and the vehicle is not parked within 500 feet of other vehicles advertised for sale.
(b) Washing, greasing, or repairing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency.
