Owners, tenants and residents of mobile homes shall maintain the mobile homes in good physical condition which does not violate the health, safety and welfare of the public and the governmental regulation and kept in a neat appearance and proper state of repair. All wheels shall be removed.

The owner or occupant shall have 30 days after the application for securing a permit to bring the mobile home into compliance with this chapter. Extensions of time may be granted by the Health and Property Committee Representative and the Village President. The owner or occupant shall contact the Village Hall when inspection is desired to determine that the mobile home is in compliance with the provisions of this chapter. If the Health and Property Committee Representative and the Village President determine that the mobile home is in compliance, after a physical inspection, they shall issue to the applicant a certificate of compliance on the form supplied by the Village Clerk. The certificate of compliance shall be filed with the Village Clerk. Water and sewer hookup shall be allowed after issuance of certificate of compliance. The owner or occupant shall have 30 days after the certificate is issued to connect the mobile home to village sewer and water.

Before the mobile home can be occupied as a residence, the applicant shall notify Village Hall when the mobile home is connected to the water and sewer system of the village for the purpose of a final inspection being conducted by the Health and Property Committee Representative and Village President. If the mobile home passes the final inspection, or any issues resulting therefrom are remedied, a certificate of occupancy shall be executed by the Health and Property Committee Representative and Village President and provided to the applicant. The completed certificate of occupancy shall be filed with the Village Clerk.

Any mobile home located in village limits at the date of passage of this chapter are deemed to be in compliance with village ordinances until the mobile home is to be moved/relocated within village limits, which would then require a new permit and new certificates to be filed and issued.
