§ 16-302. Assignment of City Space. 22
   (1)   Notice.
      (a)   The Commissioner of Public Property shall notify the President of City Council of any City space which has been assigned to the several courts and the judges thereof, court rooms, offices and other rooms and quarters for a law library and for the Philadelphia Bar Association, and meeting rooms for members of the bar, and to officers, commissions and other governmental agencies supported out of the City Treasury, and to the Mayor and other Officers of the City, and all departments, boards and commissions thereof, by the Department of Public Property within fourteen (14) days after the enactment of this ordinance.
      (b)   The Commissioner of Public Property shall immediately notify the President of City Council of any City space that is not currently assigned or which becomes newly available for assignment to the several courts and the judges thereof, court rooms, offices and other rooms and quarters for a law library and for the Philadelphia Bar Association, and meeting rooms for members of the bar, and to officers, commissions and other governmental agencies supported out of the City Treasury, and to the Mayor and other officers of the City, and all departments, boards and commissions thereof, by the Department of Public Property.
   (2)   Prohibition.
      (a)   All City space subject to notification in subsection 16-302(1)(a) shall be deemed currently available for assignment to City Council for the accommodation of its members.
      (b)   No City space subject to notification in subsection 16-302(1)(b) shall be assigned by the Department of Public property unless and until written communications signed by the President of City Council and the Mayor stating that such space is not to be assigned to City Council have been received by the Commissioner of Public Property.
