SECTION A-903 ELECTRICAL CODE FEES 253

A-903.1 General: Fees for permits and licenses related to activity regulated by the Electrical Code shall be as set forth in this Section. All application fees for licenses under this Section shall be credited toward the annual license fee if the license is issued.

A-903.2 Electrical permit fees: 254 The permit fee for electrical work shall be twenty-five dollars ($25) for each one thousand dollars ($1,000) or fraction thereof of estimated electrical construction costs. The minimum fee shall be fifty dollars ($50). The maximum fee shall be fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000). Except as provided in Section A-903.2.1, the construction costs shall be determined by inclusion of the following:

   1.   All electrical equipment, conductors, conduit, etc.,

   2.   All material,

   3.   All labor,

   4.   Overhead and profit.

      A-903.2.1.1 Solar electric system or photovoltaic system defined: For the purposes of this subsection, the terms "solar electric system" and "photovoltaic system" shall each mean the total components and subsystems that, in combination, convert solar energy into electrical energy suitable for connection to a utilization load.

      A-903.2.1.2 For the purpose of calculating the electrical permit fee, the electrical construction costs for any project that includes installation of a solar electric or photovoltaic system shall not include the cost of any arrays or inverters used in the installation of such systems.

A-903.3 Electrical inspection agency license: The license fee for an electrical inspection agency shall be two thousand dollars ($2,000), payable annually. In addition to the license fee there shall be a non-refundable initial application fee of two hundred dollars ($200).

A-903.4 Electrical inspector license: The fees for obtaining and renewing a license as an electrical inspector shall be as follows:

   1.   Non-refundable application fee:. . . . . $60

   2.   Initial license and annual renewals:. . . . . $100

A-903.5 Electrical contractor license: 256 The fees for obtaining and renewing a license as an electrical contractor shall be as follows:

   1.   Non-refundable application fee:. . . . . $60

   2.   Initial license and annual renewals:. . . . . $160

The application fees are in addition to any fees charged by an agency which the department authorizes to administer the examination.
