12-1-2: PURPOSE:

The general purposes of this title are:

   A.   To regulate the subdivision of land;

   B.   To promote the public health, safety and general welfare in accordance with standards established by the state including the growth management act 1 and boundaries and plats 2 ;

   C.   To promote effective use of land;

   D.   To facilitate adequate provision for water, sewerage, utilities, drainage, parks and recreation areas, sites for schools and school grounds and other public requirements;

   E.   To provide for proper ingress and egress;

   F.   To provide for the expeditious review and approval of proposed subdivisions which conform to zoning standards and local plans, minimum development standards and policies;

   G.   To require uniform monumenting of land subdivisions and conveying by accurate legal description. (Ord. 792, 7-29-2004)
