A Local Law to amend local law number 51 for the year 1993, in relation to creating a department of homeless services the function of which will he to provide transitional housing and services to homeless families and individuals and amending section 603 of the New York city charter relating to the designation of the commissioner of social services
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Subdivision a of section 14 of local law number 51 for the year 1993 is amended to read as follows:
a. This local law shall take effect immediately, provided, however, that section 21-308 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as renumbered and amended by section five of this local law, shall take effect retroactive to June 8, 1993; and provided further that sections two, three, four, and six of this local law shall expire on [July 1, 1995] September 6, 1995.
§ 2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
