§ 151.03 ENFORCEMENT AGENT: ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR.
   (A)   Position: For the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this chapter it shall be the responsibility of the building official or his designee. Said official or designee shall administer and enforce all the provisions of the electrical code in effect at the time wiring is done or electrical appliances are installed. The person(s) actually conducting the electrical inspections shall be state certified to perform the duties required herein and shall be employed and/or replaced at the will of the city.
   (B)   Requirements of the Position: The electrical inspector shall execute the duties of providing electrical inspections as directed by this ordinance and in accordance with adopted electrical code specifications within the Murray Electric System service area. The electrical inspector shall be required to inspect all inspection requests within two working days from the date the application is received.
   (C)   The city will enter a one-year contract (automatic renewal) with the undersigned for the electrical inspection of all projects permitted through the building code inspection department. The inspector shall carry errors and omissions insurance, and liability insurance in an amount deter-mined in a contracted services agreement with the city. Only electrical inspectors contracted with the city shall be authorized to do electrical inspections within the Murray Electric System service area with the minimum number of inspectors being two. Additional inspectors can be added by the Public Works Committee with consultation from Murray Electric System and city build-ing official. All electrical inspectors will be self-employed and shall be required to carry a city occupational license.
   (D)   Termination of contract would require 30-day notice in writing from either party of the contract. Grounds for termina-tion by the Mayor would be unsatisfactory inspections reported to the city or Murray Electric System and customer dissatisfaction with inspectors performance and/or inspector accessibility to customers.
   (E)   All customers will be given the names and contact methods of inspectors when any permit is obtained that would require an electrical inspection. It will be the customers responsibility to give timely notice of required electrical inspections — rough in, final and any other inspection that named inspector feels necessary for the project.
