Each taxicab must have cruising lights that operate electrically as a sign or insignia mounted on the forward portion of the roof of the taxicab. Cruising lights must not be used until approved by the Department. Cruising lights may be removable, but must be mounted when the vehicle is in use as a taxicab, and must be designed so that the vehicle can be easily identified as a taxicab.
