13.08.070   Connection permit-Application.
   The application for such permit shall be in writing and shall contain the following information:
   A.   Name and address of applicant;
   B.   Name and address of owner of the premises where the connection is to be made and where drain or line is to be laid;
   C.   Location of the proposed connection, drain or sewer pipes;
   D.   Statement as to the type of connection and type of materials to be discharged into the sewer;
   E.   Statement as to whether the connection is to be made to the storm sewer or the sanitary sewer. (Prior code § 4-3-32)
13.08.080   Connection charge.
   A charge of twenty-five dollars will be made for each sewer connection. The connection shall be installed at the expense of the connector in accordance with the regulations of this chapter and shall be subject to the inspection of the city. However, no charge shall be made for an original sewer connection where the contractor or builder makes the original installation of the main sewer line. (Ord. 278, 1978: prior code § 4-3-24)
13.08.090   Fees prerequisite to connection.
   Before any person makes any sewer connection to, from or between any house, institution or other building not now within the city and public sewer leading into the city or any sewer owned, operated or controlled by the city, such person shall comply with this chapter and pay the required fees. 13.08.100   Permit—Issuance.
   If the proposed connection does not violate any provision of this chapter and does not violate any other ordinances of the city, the city manager or his authorized representative shall issue a permit for such connection. Such permit shall contain all information contained in the application and shall specify the type and kind of grease and sand traps to be used. (Prior code § 4-3-33)
13.08.105   Cost of sewer line extension.
   The costs of sewer line extensions shall be the responsibility of the owner of the lot requesting service.

13.08.110   Abandonment of building connection—Permit required.
   No person shall abandon any building connection without first obtaining a written permit therefor. Such building connection shall be effectively sealed with a vitrified clay stopper inserted in the bell of the sewer extending to the property line, which stopper shall be jointed as directed by the city manager. (Prior code § 4-3-38)
13.08.120   Discharge of unpolluted waters.
   A.   No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any stormwater, surface water, groundwater, roof run-off, subsurface drainage, uncontaminated cooling water, or unpolluted industrial process waters to any sanitary sewer.
   B.   Stormwater and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to such sewers as are specifically designated as storm sewers, or to a natural outlet approved by the governing body of the city. Industrial cooling waters or unpolluted process waters may be discharged on approval of the governing body of the city to a storm sewer, or natural outlet. (Prior code § 4-3-47 (3, 4))
