A charge of twenty-five dollars will be made for each sewer connection. The connection shall be installed at the expense of the connector in accordance with the regulations of this chapter and shall be subject to the inspection of the city. However, no charge shall be made for an original sewer connection where the contractor or builder makes the original installation of the main sewer line. (Ord. 278, 1978: prior code § 4-3-24)
Before any person makes any sewer connection to, from or between any house, institution or other building not now within the city and public sewer leading into the city or any sewer owned, operated or controlled by the city, such person shall comply with this chapter and pay the required fees. (Amended during 1992 codification: prior code § 4-3-25)
If the proposed connection does not violate any provision of this chapter and does not violate any other ordinances of the city, the city manager or his authorized representative shall issue a permit for such connection. Such permit shall contain all information contained in the application and shall specify the type and kind of grease and sand traps to be used. (Prior code § 4-3-33)
