Recycling Receptacles
779.01    Applicability.
779.02    Recycling receptacle requirement.

779.01 APPLICABILITY.
   This chapter shall only apply to business organizations located in the City of Lorain that have securities offered on a public market registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (hereinafter, "business").

779.02 RECYCLING RECEPTACLE REQUIREMENT.
   Each business shall have in its exterior and interior common area to the public, a receptacle designated for recyclable refuse directly adjacent to any non-recycling designated receptacle. The recycling receptable shall be of similar size of the nonrecycling designated receptacle.

779.03 ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTY.
   This chapter shall be enforced by the Safety Service Director, or his designee, through periodic inspections, or upon reports from the public. The penalty for noncompliance with this chapter is a noncriminal civil penalty of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for the first offense. If a business is found to be noncompliant with this Chapter more than once in a calendar year, then the civil penalty shall be three thousand dollars ($3,000.00).
