The Boxing and Wrestling Commission shall make and may amend, alter or repeal such rules as it may deem necessary in the public interest to regulate and control the conditions and conduct of boxing and wrestling exhibitions. The Commission may suspend and/or fine any promoter, manager, boxer or wrestler pursuant to its rules. It shall be the duty of the Commission to enforce and see to the enforcement of its rules.

(a) The Office of the Mayor shall issue specific licenses and charge the following fees for boxing and wrestling exhibitions:
(1) Professional Promotors License -Annual | $50.00 |
(2) Professional Exhibit Permit (each exhibit) | $25.00 |
(3) Amateur Promoter License - Annual | $10.00 |
(4) Amateur Exhibit Permit (each exhibit) | $ 5.00 |
(b) Annual licenses shall be valid for one year from date of issue by the Mayor.

Grantees of permits for professional boxing or wrestling exhibitions shall pay to the City Treasurer a fee equal to three percent of the gross receipts of the boxing and wrestling exhibition held under such permits, excluding any taxes which may be imposed under Federal or State law, provided, however, that no fee greater than five thousand dollars ($5,000) shall be required.
The secretary of the Boxing and Wrestling Commission shall be the representative of the City Treasurer, who shall be authorized and empowered to receive payment of the aforesaid three percent of the gross receipts for and on behalf of the City Treasurer.
