1131.01 ESTABLISHMENT OF DISTRICTS.
   The City is hereby divided into eighteen (18) use districts as follows:

1131.02 OFFICIAL ZONING MAP.
   The districts established in Section 1131.01 are shown on the Official Zoning Map of the City of Elyria which, together with all explanatory matter therein, is hereby adopted as part of this Zoning Code and is hereby incorporated by reference into this Zoning Code. The Official Zoning Map, properly attested, shall remain on file in the office of the Building Inspector or his or her designee and a copy maintained in the office of the Clerk of Council. The Official Zoning Map shall be amended automatically by any zoning changes made under Chapter 1133.

1131.03 INTERPRETATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES.
   Except where referenced on the Zoning Map to a street, alley line or other designated line by dimensions shown on the map, the district boundary lines shall follow lot lines or the center lines of streets or alleys as they existed at the time of adoption of this Code. However, where a district line obviously does not coincide with the lot lines as such, or center lines of streets or alleys, or where it is not designated by dimensions, it shall be determined by the use of the engineer's scale as measured on the Official Zoning Map.
