17-38: PARKING VEHICLES FOR SALE PROHIBITED:
   A.   Parking Prohibited; Exceptions: No person shall park, or permit to be parked, any motor vehicle for the purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale upon any right of way, lot or area within the city, whether publicly or privately owned. This section shall not apply to:
      1.   The display of one motor vehicle for sale when the motor vehicle is owned by the owner or resident of the property and the vehicle is not being sold in connection with an automobile sales business; or
      2.   The display of motor vehicles for sale on the property of a state licensed automobile sales business which is operating in conformance with all local zoning and business permit requirements.
   B.   Signs: The display of any sign or other marking indicating that a motor vehicle is for sale shall be prima facie evidence that the motor vehicle has been parked, or permitted to be parked, for the purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale.
   C.   Violation; Penalty: Violation of this section shall constitute a civil traffic violation punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). (Ord. 04-555 § 1, 1-12-2004)
