5-12: AMENDMENTS TO THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE:
   A.   The following provisions of the International Fuel Gas Code, 2018 edition as published by the International Code Council, Inc. are hereby amended as follows:
   B.   CHAPTER 1. SCOPE AND ADMINISTRATION. This chapter is DELETED in its entirety.
   For the administration of this code, see Sections 5-5 through 5-7 and the 2018 International Building code and local amendments.
   SECTION 101 GENERAL
      Section 101.3 Appendices: DELETE this section in its entirety and REPLACE with the following text:
      101.3 Appendices. The following appendices are adopted by the City of Eloy:
         Appendix A - Sizing and Capacities of Gas Piping
         Appendix B - Sizing of Venting Systems Serving Appliances Equipped With Draft Hoods, Category 1 Appliances and Appliances Listed for Use with Type B Vents
         Appendix C - Exit Terminals of Mechanical Draft and Direct-vent Venting Systems
   CHAPTER 3 GENERAL REGULATIONS
   SECTION 303 APPLIANCE LOCATION
      Section 303.7 Pit locations. ADD the following text to the end of the section:
         Liquid petroleum gas (LPG) appliances shall not be installed in a pit.
   SECTION 306 ACCESS AND SERVICE SPACE
      306.5 Equipment and appliances on roofs of elevated structures. ADD new item 11 to read as follows:
         11.   When access is through a roof hatch or access door, the minimum clear access opening dimension shall not be less than 22 inches by 30 inches (559 MM by 762 MM.)
   SECTION 307 CONDENSATE DISPOSAL
      Section 307.3 Drain pipe materials and sizes. REVISE the last sentence to read as follows:
         Where the drain pipes for more than one unit are manifolded together for condensate drainage, the pipe or tubing shall be sized in accordance with TABLE 307.2.2 of the International Mechanical Code.
   CHAPTER 4 GAS PIPING INSTALLATIONS 
   SECTION 404 PIPING SYSTEM INSTALLATION
      Section 404.9 Above-ground outdoor piping. INSERT the following sentence after the first sentence of this section to read as follows:
         Piping less than 3 ½ inches (152MM) above finish grade shall have a machine applied protective coating in accordance with Section 404.11.2.
      Section 404.12 Minimum burial depth. DELETE "except as provided for in Section 404.12.1."
      Section 404.12.1 Individual outside appliances. DELETE section in its entirety.
   CHAPTER 5 CHIMNEYS AND VENTS
   SECTION 502 VENTS
      Section 502.4 Insulation shield. ADD the following text to the end of the paragraph:
         Where insulation is installed against roof sheathing, the shield shall extend not less than 2 inches (51MM) below the bottom of the insulation.
   SECTION 503 VENTING OF APPLIANCES
      Section 503.6.5 Gas vent termination. REVISE item 1 as follows:
         1.   Gas vents that are 12 inches (305MM) or less in size and located not less than 4 feet (1219MM) from a vertical wall or similar obstructions shall terminate above the roof in accordance with Figure 503.6.5.
   CHAPTER 6 SPECIFIC APPLIANCES 
   SECTION 631 BOILERS
      Section 631 Boilers. DELETE text of the entire section and REPLACE with the following:
         Boilers shall be installed in accordance with ARIZONA BOILER RULES, TITLE 20, CHAPTER 5.
   SECTION 632 EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN EXISTING UNLISTED BOILERS
      Section 632 Equipment installed in existing unlisted boilers. DELETE the text of the entire section and REPLACE with the following:
         Boilers shall be installed in accordance with ARIZONA BOILER RULES, TITLE 20, CHAPTER 5.
