Department of Law
   EDITOR'S NOTE: The Municipal Attorney was formerly known as the Solicitor and the Director of Law. The title was changed initially by the General Assembly, effective November 1, 1977 (Ohio R.C. 733.49 et seq.) and later by the voters by the adoption, on November 6, 1991, of the City Charter. References throughout these Codified Ordinances to the Solicitor or the Law Director or Director of Law shall be deemed to mean the Municipal Attorney.
233.01   Compensation; duties.

   233.01   COMPENSATION; DUTIES.
   The base salary of the Municipal Attorney shall be as provided for by Council payable monthly. Additional duties to be performed by the Municipal Attorney without further legal expense to the City shall include the following: representation at all jury trials transferred to the Columbiana County Court, Eastern District; legal services for planning and zoning boards; aid relative to bond issues and/or tax matters; and aid relative to codification.
