The A-14.4 Agricultural Single-Family Residential Zone is intended as districts of single-family homes with not more than one dwelling and customary accessory buildings upon one lot. In addition, agricultural pursuits are permitted subject to the regulations set forth in the A zone. Except as specifically provided elsewhere in this title, any and every building and premises or land in the A-14.4 zone shall be used for or occupied and every building shall be erected, constructed, established, altered, enlarged, maintained, moved into or within the A-14.4 zone exclusively and only in accordance with the regulations set forth in this chapter.

(A) Accessory buildings and uses customarily incident to any of the above uses designated in this section, including a private garage and pursuant to the regulations of Chapter 17.66;
(B) Animals to maximum numbers as follows:
(1) Three weaned cats;
(2) Three weaned dogs;
(3) Horses in the following numbers (enclosure to be located not less than 100 feet from any dwelling unit other than dwelling of owner):
(a) Two horses, 14,400 square feet minimum lot area;
(b) Three horses, 21,700 square feet minimum lot area;
(c) Four horses, one acre minimum lot area;
(C) Home occupations (see Chapter 17.80);
(D) House trailer, which may be used as a construction project office during time of construction when a valid building permit is in force;
(E) Manufactured housing on permanent foundation system subject to the provisions of Chapter 17.41;
(F) One-family dwelling of a permanent character placed in a permanent location;
(G) Orchards, tree crops, field crops, truck gardening, berry and bush crops, flower gardening, nurseries, greenhouses or lath houses not exceeding 200 square feet in area on any lot and other similar enterprises carried on in the general field of agriculture, subject to the regulations set forth in Chapter 17.06; provided, however, that no sales stands are permitted hereby except under a conditional use permit granted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 17.92;
(H) Parks and recreation areas subject to the provisions of Chapter 12.24;
(I) Small family day care homes;
(J) Similar uses permitted by Commission determination. The Commission may, by resolution of record, permit any other uses which it may determine to be similar to those listed in this section, in conformity with the intent of purpose of this zone and not more obnoxious or detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare or to other uses permitted in this zone. The following uses may be permitted subject to approval of a building permit as provided for in Chapter 17.85: accessory dwelling unit of a permanent character placed in a permanent location.
