The Mayor of the City shall be the Local Liquor Control Commissioner and the person charged with the administration of the appropriate provisions of the Illinois Liquor Control Act, this chapter, and such other ordinances and resolutions relating to alcoholic liquor as may be enacted by the City Council. He shall be compensated at the rate of six hundred dollars ($600.00) per annum for performance of this duty. (Ord. 407, 6-15-1987)
The Local Liquor Control Commissioner may appoint a person to assist him in the exercise of the powers and performance of the duties provided for the Local Liquor Control Commissioner in the Illinois Local Control Act and this chapter. The term of appointment for the Deputy Local Liquor Control Commissioner shall not exceed one year. The Deputy Local Liquor Control Commissioner shall receive such compensation as may be fixed from time to time by the City Council. (Ord. 407, 6-15-1987)
