(a) The police officers and parking control officers of the Municipality shall report any violation of parking regulations set forth in this chapter and in Chapter 305. Such report shall set forth:
(1) The location of such parking violation;
(2) The state license number of such vehicle in violation;
(3) The time during which such vehicle is parking in violation; and
(4) Any other facts, the knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation.
(b) Police officers and parking control officers shall attach to illegally parked vehicles a notice to the owner or operator thereof that such vehicle has been parked in violation of the above chapters and instruct such owner or operator to report to the Police Department with regard to such violation.

(a) The two parking spaces on the south side of South Hambden Street, immediately west of the driveway to the City parking lot and apron to the Fire Station, shall be restricted and designated for employees of the Chardon Fire Department.
(b) All parking spaces in a municipal parking lot on or adjacent to a municipal park or recreational facility may be used when the park or recreational facility is open for public use. (Ord. 2588. Passed 6-10-10.)
(c) All parking spaces in the following parking lots owned by the Municipality may be used by the public:
(1) Parking lot located south of the former Village Hall, 110 South Hambden Street.
(2) Parking lot at the Municipal Center, 111 Water Street.
(3) Parking lot at 108 South Street.
(4) Parking lot at 106 Water Street.
(5) Parking spaces abutting the Alley between Court Street and Water Street.
(6) Parking lot on Court Street abutting the Alley.
(d) Parking between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. is prohibited except in the 108 South Street parking lot. (Ord. 2999. Passed 1-11-18.)
(e) The Police Department shall amend the Traffic Control Map to conform with the provisions of this section.
(f) The Police Department shall erect or cause to be erected traffic control signs and devices necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic and parking in accordance with the provisions of this section.

(a) If an owner of private property posts on the property in a conspicuous manner, a prohibition against parking on the property or conditions and regulations under which parking is permitted, no person shall do either of the following:
(1) Park a vehicle on the property without the owner's consent;
(2) Park a vehicle on the property in violation of any condition or regulation posted by the owner.
(b) Whoever violates division (a) of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.

(a) Any handicapped person who is in compliance with § 351.04
in that such person possesses a valid handicapped permit as provided therein may park one additional hour than the permitted time as shown by signs posted on all parking spaces contained upon the west side of Main Street from Center Street to Water Street.
(b) This section shall only apply to handicapped persons as defined herein, and if such person should allow his vehicle to be parked for more than the time as provided herein, that it shall constitute a violation of § 351.03
(c)(13) and such person shall be liable for the penalty as provided for violation of such section.

(a) A designated loading zone is hereby created at the north side of Water Street for a distance of 150 feet west from the intersection of Main Street and Water Street.
(b) Stopping, standing or parking a vehicle in any loading zone for the purpose of loading and unloading shall be limited to the length of time necessary for expeditious loading and delivery, and pickup and loading, of materials.
(c) In no event shall standing, stopping or parking a vehicle for loading or unloading exceed 30 minutes.
(d) Pavement markings and signs designating the loading zones and time limit for stopping, standing and parking shall be placed by the Street Department in conformance with the Ohio Uniform Traffic Manual.
(e) Any person stopping, standing or parking a vehicle for more than the designated time, or the owner of such vehicle, may be fined up to $150 and costs.

Subject to the approval of Council, the Manager is hereby authorized to temporarily suspend the operation of this Chapter during any period of emergency and shall have the authority to adopt and enforce such temporary rules and regulations as traffic conditions may demand or require during the emergency.
