7-1-1: TRAFFIC CODE ADOPTED:
It is hereby declared to be the intent of the governing body of the city to aid and assist by whatever means possible, for the utmost consistency in traffic regulation among and between agencies of Idaho having jurisdiction. Toward that end, adoption of the Idaho motor vehicle laws by the cities of Idaho is a necessary means of assuring maximum uniformity within the state.
There is hereby adopted, therefore, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the use of all streets and public thoroughfares of the city, that certain code, identified as the 1969 revised edition, Idaho motor vehicle laws, more particularly title 49, Idaho Code, published by the department of law enforcement, and as the same may hereafter be revised by the Idaho legislature, or amended by the governing body, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as an ordinance of the city as fully as though set forth at length herein.
Three (3) copies of the said Idaho motor vehicle laws, together with any revisions or amendments, duly certified by the clerk, shall be kept on file in his office for use and examination of and by the general public. (1976 Code)
7-1-2: ISSUANCE OF CITATIONS:
Upon a violation of any provision of this chapter or the laws hereinabove adopted, the arresting officer shall execute the citation in the following manner:
Violation of Cascade City Code, Section 7-1-1 (being in particular section 49-      , of the Idaho Code).

7-1-3: SPEED LIMITS:
   (A)   Every person operating a motor vehicle on the streets of this city shall drive the same in a careful manner and at a rate of speed so as to not endanger the property of another or the life or limb of any person, and no person shall operate a motor vehicle on the streets of this city at a greater speed than twenty five (25) miles per hour, save and except as hereinafter specifically set forth.    (B)   No person shall operate a motor vehicle on Main Street in the city in excess of the following speeds, at the places hereinafter designated on said Main Street:
      1.   Forty five (45) miles per hour from a point four-tenths (0.4) of a mile north of the north end of the south bridge over the Payette River to Cabarton Road;
      2.   Thirty five (35) miles per hour from Cabarton to Payette Street;
      3.   Twenty five (25) miles per hour from Payette Street to Spring Street;
      4.   Thirty five (35) miles per hour from Spring Street to a point two hundred (200) yards north of Dam Street;
      5.   Forty five (45) miles per hour from the point two hundred (200) yards north of Dam Street to a point eight hundred seventy six feet (876') north of the north end of the north bridge over the Payette River. (Ord. 367, 4-13-1981)
   (C)   Any person convicted of a violation of any provision of this section shall be fined in a sum not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) for any one offense, and such person may be confined in the county jail for a period of not more than thirty (30) days. Either or both such fine or imprisonment may be imposed. (Ord. 314, 7-14-1975)
7-1-4: PEDESTRIAN RIGHT OF WAY AT INTERSECTIONS:
   (A)   At any intersection, the driver of a motor vehicle shall yield the right of way, slowing down or stopping if need be to so yield, to a pedestrian crossing the roadway at any intersection when the pedestrian is upon the half of the roadway upon which the vehicle is traveling, or when the pedestrian is approaching so closely from the opposite half of the roadway as to be in danger.
