(A) Use Of Air Compression Brakes: The use of air compression brakes (also known as "jake brakes") by vehicles or trucks, as defined in Idaho Code title 49, chapter 1, within city limits is hereby prohibited and shall be unlawful, except under emergency circumstances where use of compression brakes is necessary to prevent an accident or injury to persons or property, and except when used by operators of publicly owned vehicles as may be necessary in the ordinary course of duty.
(B) Penalties: Any person who violates the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an infraction and upon conviction shall be fined a sum established by resolution made by the Council of the City of Cascade, Idaho. (Ord. 607, 10-27-2003, amd. Ord. 708, 11-9-2020)
