GENERAL PROVISIONS
§ 151.01 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE NFPA 70 ADOPTED.
   That a certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the Building Official of the city, being marked and designated as the National Electrical Code, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, be and is hereby adopted as the electrical code for the city; for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of electrical systems in the city; and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of the latest edition of said National Electrical Code, including all subsequent amendments thereto approved by the South Carolina Building Code Council, on file in the city and hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this chapter.

§ 151.02 ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR; DUTIES.
   (A)   There is hereby created the office of Electrical Inspector for the city. The Building Official or his designee shall act as the Electrical Inspector.
   (B)   The Electrical Inspector shall enforce the provisions of the National Electrical Code and duties as may be prescribed in this chapter.
