§ 151.18 CONTRACTOR'S BOND.
   If deemed necessary by the Building Official for the protection of public property or to ensure compliance with this chapter, no building permit shall be issued, unless and until the person performing or contracting to do or perform the work shall have acquired a certificate of a duly authorized agent of a bonding or insurance company, lawfully licensed to do business in the state. This certificate shall state that the applicant is insured against property loss or damage, which may be sustained as a result of the construction, remodeling, reconstruction or demolition, in an amount not less than $10,000. The total amount of the bond is to determined by the Building Official.
