CHAPTER 222: ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS

222.02 Sale of code of ordinances and component codes
§ 222.01 POSTING.
   All ordinances, resolutions, statements, orders, proclamations, notices and reports of the city required to be published shall be published by being posted for a period of not less than 15 days next following action thereon, in the following places, which are hereby determined by Council to be five of the most public places in the city, except for notices to bidders for the construction of public improvements and notices of the sale of bonds, which shall be published in a newspaper as provided by R.C. § 731.25, for the time provided by R.C. § 731.22:
   (a)   At the entrance of the Old Firehouse (100 Avon Belden Road);
   (b)   At the entrance of the Avon Lake Public Library;
   (c)   At the entrance of the Post Office Building;
   (d)   At the entrance of the Municipal Building; and
   (e)   At the entrance of Drug Mart (33382 Walker Road).

§ 222.02 SALE OF CODE OF ORDINANCES AND COMPONENT CODES.
   (a)   The Clerk of Council shall have custody of the published and printed copies of the code of ordinances and parts thereof of the city and shall be responsible for the distribution and sale thereof. The Clerk is hereby authorized to distribute copies to all municipal officers, employees and departments as needed in the performance of their official duties, and such persons and departments shall be charged with the maintenance and safekeeping thereof, as with other municipal property.
   (b)   The schedule of rates for the sale of the code of ordinances and parts thereof of the city shall be as set forth in Chapter 208 - the General Fee Schedule.
   (c)   The Clerk, with the approval of the Mayor, is hereby authorized to furnish free copies of the code of ordinances to any federal, state, county or municipal law library or public library which may have a need therefor or which may hold the same for public inspection on a loan, reduced charge or no charge basis.
