Sidewalks and trails shall be provided to allow for pedestrian movement throughout the specific plan area, as well as pedestrian connections to other parcels within the Davis Estates area development plan.
A. Public sidewalks shall be installed along Coachlight Drive and South 64th Street as a part of the public improvements of the plat. If final plat release for recordation is desired prior to construction of and acceptance of the public sidewalks by the public works department and city council, the developer will be required to post the appropriate surety prior to the council approval of the final plat.
B. Public sidewalks shall be in place prior to issuance of any occupancy permits, either temporary or final.
C. Sidewalks within the site shall be a minimum of four feet (4') in width except in those situations in which a proposed parking lot is designed to allow the bumper of the vehicle to overhang the sidewalk; in these situations, the sidewalk width shall be increased to measure a minimum of six feet (6') in width to accommodate pedestrian movement.
D. Whenever possible, multiple private sidewalks shall be installed at various points along the perimeter to promote pedestrian movement into the site (i.e., corners, midblock access, etc.). Private walkways within the site shall be reviewed and approved with the site plan and shall be designed to be wide enough to accommodate pedestrians in conjunction with any outdoor seating areas and/or pedestrian street furniture planned.
