The general location and type of access drives to parcels within the Denton development are indicated on the specific plan map. Final locations and drive configurations shall be reviewed and approved as part of a site specific traffic analysis in conjunction with the site plan review for each lot.
The specific plan map indicates the ultimate intended types of accesses. A temporary full access is indicated on South 60th Street, south of Mills Civic Parkway at the common boundary of area A and the Galleria development.
This access location is temporary and will be closed in the future thus restricting turn movements to right in/right out movement only. Timing of closures shall be at such time that South 60th Street is improved to ultimate design or at such time that the city determines the level of service or frequency of accidents requires closure. Unless otherwise addressed as part of the ultimate build for each roadway, permanent medians will be installed or extended by the adjacent property owners to limit these locations to a right in/right out turn movement only. Construction of the closure measures shall be by and at the financial cost of the adjoining property owners or as otherwise privately assigned. The design of the medians and subsequent modifications to lane markings shall be approved by the city prior to construction. Completion of the closure is to occur no later than three (3) months from notice from the city, subject to weather conditions.
At such time that traffic warrants, signals may be located at the identified full access points on both Stagecoach Drive and South 60th Street. The cost of installing traffic signals as required shall be the responsibility of the abutting property owners pursuant to the policies of the city.
Signage associated with access drives shall be procured and installed consistent with the "Manual Of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)", federal highway administration, 2009 edition. (Ord. 2035, 5-19-2014)
