The legal description for the Raccoon River Quarries PUD is as follows:
That part of the east one-half of the northwest quarter (E1/2 NW1/4) of section 27 which lies south of right of way of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad; that part of the west one-half of the northeast quarter (W1/2 NE1/4) of section 27 which lies south of said railroad right of way; the southwest quarter (SW1/4) of section 27 (except that part of the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter (SE1/4 SW1/4) lying south of the Raccoon River); the west one-half of the southeast quarter (W1/2 SE1/4) of section 27 (except that part lying south of the Raccoon River); the south 39 acres of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter (SE1/4 SE1/4) of section 27; part of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter (SW1/4 NW1/4) of section 27 lying south of said railroad; part of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter (SE1/4 NE1/4) of section 28 lying south of said railroad; the east one-half of the southeast quarter (E1/2 SE1/4) of section 28 and part of the north one- half of the northeast quarter (N1/2 NE1/4) of section 34 lying north of the Raccoon River; all in township 78 north, range 26 west of the 5th P.M., Dallas County, Iowa; and that part of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter (NW1/4 NW1/4) of section thirty-five (35), township seventy- eight north, range 26 west of the 5th P.M., lying north of the Raccoon River.

The south 1/2 of the north 1/2 lying south of the right-of- way of the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad, except the east 175 feet of that part of the NE1/4 of section 26-78-26 lying south of the right-of-way of public highway F-90, and except parcel A of the survey of the north 1/2 of section 26, township 78 north, range 26 west of the 5th P.M., as shown in book 2000, page 6807 in the office of the recorder of Dallas County, Iowa; and the SW 1/4; and the W 1/2 of the SE 1/4 lying north and west of the Raccoon River, all located in section 26; and
That part of the E 1/2 of the NE 1/4 lying south of the right-of-way of county highway F-90; and the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, of section 27, all in township 78 north, range 26 west of the 5th P.M., Dallas County, Iowa, containing 408 acres, more or less, subject to easements, restrictions and other like matters of record.
