All proposed ground signage requires a sign permit issued by the city of West Des Moines through normal sign review procedures. Unless otherwise provided herein, signage shall abide by the standards and regulations as set forth in title 9, chapter 18, "Signs", of the city code for the residential high-density (RH) district.
A. Monument/Ground Sign:
1. One ground/monument sign shall be allowed per parcel frontage to a public street. Of the total allowable number of signs, a maximum of two (2) of the signs may be located along the same frontage on each side of an access drive.
2. The overall sign structure shall not exceed eight feet (8') in height.
3. The development identification copy area shall not exceed thirty (30) square feet.
B. Building Directory Sign: Building directory signs shall be implemented interior to the development to assist in directing patrons and emergency response crews through the site. Size, design and location of said signs shall be worked out with the city's fire marshal.
