A. Artworks selected and implemented pursuant to the provisions of this chapter and any resolution thereto, may be placed in, on, or about eligible construction projects. The artworks may be attached or detached, within or about such property, and may be either temporary or permanent. City officials responsible for the design and construction of such projects shall make appropriate spaces available for the placement of artworks unless prohibited by federal or state law.
B. Placement of artworks shall be followed, within a reasonable time frame, by interpretative plaques on or near the artwork, indicating the artist, the year created and dedicated, and a description of the artwork or its reason for installation, as appropriate. Plaque placement shall be determined by the city's parks and recreation department staff in consultation with the artist. (Ord. 1903, 1-24-2011)
